Sync charges a dispute fee to cover the costs associated with managing the dispute resolution process for transactions completed by buyers using a Sync account.
This fee applies whether the buyer submits a dispute directly through Sync or initiates it externally, such as a chargeback through their card issuer or a payment reversal through their bank. In all cases, Sync must still review the claim, gather evidence, and respond on your behalf, which is why the fee is charged regardless of the dispute channel.
The dispute fee is calculated as a percentage of the transaction amount. The standard rate is 8%, although the total amount may vary depending on the size of the transaction.
